Citroen Racing has recruited Frenchman Yvan Muller as part of its WTCC team. Muller, who has already 3 championship titles, will be driving a Citroen C-Elysee WTCC for the 2014 season. His achievements already made him a highly-respected figure in WTCC.
The seasoned driver is a consistent excellent performer. He boasts championship titles from 2008, 2010 and 2011 seasons. He broke every record going, from race wins and points scored, to the number of pole positions and number of laps spent in the lead. With his participation in the 2013 season, he has asserted his supremacy even more. It is possible that he can claim his fourth championship crown at the upcoming Sonoma meeting on September 7 to 8.
The addition of Muller to the team guarantees an extra boost to Citroen’s performance. Having been involved with five auto manufacturers over the duration of his touring car career, he is highly motivated by the new challenge. He feels honored to represent Citroen Racing for the next season. He will be joining another famed Citroen driver Sebastien Loeb who represented the company in WRC.
Yvan Muller’s contract commits him to drive for Citroen for the next two seasons.
