At the 2014 Tokyo Auto Salon, Subaru officially revealed the first rendering of the WRX STI race car for the 2014 Nürburgring 24-Hour Race where its motorsport and performance arm Subaru Technica International (STI) will be competing in for the seventh straight year.
The 2014 Subaru WRX STI N24 race car will be based on the production car to be unveiled at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit next week. Yesterday, we posted some allegedly leaked official photos of the upcoming performance sedan.
The STI team is aiming for their third victory in the SP3T class at the Nürburgring 24-Hour Race this year following their back-to-back wins from 2011 to 2012. Hideharu Tatsumi will take the helm of team operations to handle management and development. Japanese drivers Toshiro Yoshida and Kouta Sasaki will be joined by two more drivers from Europe to be announced at a later date.

For the Japanese Super GT Series, Subaru will continue to campaign the BRZ GT300 with R&D Sport. Kouta Sasaki and Takuto Iguchi will be driving for the team.
International Rally
As with previous years following its official pullout from competition in the World Rally Championship, Subaru will continue supporting private entrants to the FIA World Rally Championship 2 (WRC2) and the European Rally Championship (ERC).
