New Mexican company VŪHL Automotive has just teased images of its VŪHL 05 sports car, which the company announced in March. VŪHL (pronounced ‘vool’) stands for Vehicles of Ultra High-performance and Lightweight), the new Mexican venture of brothers Iker and Guillermo Echeverria Jr. is back by the government and several blue chip companies. 

The company founders trace their automotive roots to work on GT and formula race cars campaigned by their father Guillermo Echeverria Senior.

VŪHL boasts of automotive technology development derived from around the world. It starts with a chassis and suspension developed in the UK, and further R&D in association with Michelin in the US and the Europe. The car bodies (presumably carbon fiber) will be built in Canada with final assembly done at the Adman Leku manufacturing facility in Mexico City. The engines, while yet to be announced will be supplied by Ford.

“We will take part in the supercar run as part of the ‘First Glance’ class at Goodwood, and look forward to appearing on the stand at the Michelin Supercar Paddock amongst many of our heroes from the world of high performance cars and motorsport,” said Iker Echeverria, VŪHL Automotive director.
