Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport concept revealed
Volkswagen will start production of the Golf GTI Clubsport in 2016
Volkswagen has revealed the first official photos of the Golf GTI Clubsport concept that is set to make its public debut at the 2015 Wörthersee Tour GTI meet in Austria.
Desinged to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the GTI, the Clubsport concept is fitted with sharp-looking headlights, an aggressive aero kit and a honeycomb grill.
The rear of the Golf GTI Clubsport concept comes with a roof-mounted spoiler as well as a revamped diffuser. The concept is also equipped with distinctive taillights and chrome plated exhaust pipes.
The Golf GTI Clubsport concept is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that delivers 265 PS, 35 PS more than the Golf GTI Performance package. With this, Volkswagen said that the Clubsport concept is going to be the “most powerful GTI yet” when the vehicle starts production in 2016.
