The Subaru Impreza 5-Door concept made its world debut at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. The car is a design concept set to preview the next-generation Impreza which will be the first one of Subaru's next-generation strategic vehicles under the brand's "Prominence 2020" vision. For the concept, the car features a blend of bold expressions of Subaru's new design language called Dynamic and Solid design. Subaru says the design direction not only for the new Impreza but also for Subaru's future models as a whole.

From the front, the concept applies its new design language with its wide and low stance, giving the car a sporty look. Adding to the car's sporting intentions is an aggressive bumper and a sculpted hood. Some Subaru design features remain such as the hexagonal grill, ‘hawk-eye’ headlights.

Turning at the side, the concept is characterized by sharp lines, a sloping roofline and prominent wheel arches. According to Subaru, the extended fender flares "express the reliability of the Subaru All-Wheel Drive system".

At the back, the concept applies more of the Dynamic and Solid design theme. Like the front, the rear of the Impreza 5-Door concept features a wide and low stance. One notable design feature from the rear is the sweptback taillights that blend into the bumper's design. The rear is finished off with a roof-mounted spoiler and the concept sits on 19-inch wheels.  

Dimension-wise, the concept measures 4400mm long, 1880mm wide, and 1440mm tall with a wheelbase of 2670mm.

Subaru has yet to release the powertrain specifications of the Impreza 5-Door concept.
