Suzuki is indeed busy testing their next-generation Swift hatchback. Recently, our spy photographers were able to snap some photos of what looks to be a prototype version of the Swift Sport undergoing warm weather testing.

Even with the heavy camouflage, it is apparent that the new-generation Swift Sport gets a more angular and aggressive look. The hatchback gets slightly reworked headlights along with a deeper chin spoiler compared to standard models. Also seen on the prototype Swift Sport are bigger air intakes, dual exhaust pipes, tailgate-mounted spoiler and wider wheels.

The distinct sloping roofline remains still but the taillights now look smaller and more vertical in shape. Moreover, the 'hidden' door handles first seen in sketches appeared to have made it into production as the rear doors seem to have them.

Standard models of the Swift are expected to be driven by 1.0-liter turbocharged engine or a slightly bigger 1.2-liter motor. On the other hand, the upcoming Swift Sport may be powered by a 1.4-liter Boosterjet inline-four derived from the all-new Vitara S crossover which produces 140 PS.

The all-new Swift is expected to make its world debut at this year's Paris Motor Show while the Swift Sport could be revealed at around mid-2017.
