All-new Mitsubishi Montero Sport caught doing TV commercial in Thailand
The cat is seemingly out of the bag as the 2016 Mitsubishi Montero Sport (Pajero Sport) was spotted undisguised somewhere in Bangkok, Thailand.
Supposedly being driven for a TV commercial, the next-generation Montero Sport's exterior design borrows heavily from the GC-PHEV concept and the Outlander PHEV-S concept's 'Dynamic Shield' grill. Other distinct features seen are its distinct headlights with integrated daytime running lights and a sportier front bumper.
Over to the side, it has character lines that appear both on the front and rear quarter panels while more pronounced wheel arches were applied to give it an extra sense of character. Completing it all is a set of new alloys that seem to resemble the ones used on the updated ASX crossover.
The rear also gets a major design change as it now has vertical taillights that run down up to the vehicle’s rear bumper, a ‘pinched’ third-row window and a new tailgate.
The 2016 Mitsubishi Montero Sport is slated to make its world debut on August 1, 2015 in Thailand.
