Report: Hyundai Santa Cruz could enter production this November
Hyundai Santa Cruz pickup inches closer to reality
Are you ready for Hyundai's pickup? As it turns out, the well-received Santa Cruz crossover truck concept appears to be on its way into becoming a production model.
In a report by Car & Driver, Hyundai Motor America CEO Dave Zuchowski said that the Korean automaker is closing in on the approval of the said vehicle. He adds that the production version of the Santa Cruz concept is expected to be green-lighted in November.
However, details regarding the Santa Cruz's production version are yet to be released by the company. As previously reported, the Santa Cruz could be based on the Tucson and it is expected to have an all-wheel drive powertrain along with a five seat interior.
The Santa Cruz crossover truck concept was first previewed during the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Hyundai said that the concept is designed to meet the desires of expression, efficiency and maneuverability of Millennials.
