Honda headed its 'Joy of Mobility' display at the 2012 Philippine International Motor Show with its hybrid offerings, as well as Modulo-styled models and their latest vehicle models.
Leading their display was the Mugen-tuned CR-Z hybrid, which proves that being environmentally aware does not mean that you can’t have fun. The CR-Z has received a significant amount of aftermarket following in the Japanese, North American and select ASEAN market where it is already available. The CR-Z is powered by a 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine with Honda’s Intergrated Motor Assist (IMA) and mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The CR-Z is also the world’s first hybrid vehicle to be equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Alongside is the Insight, a 5-door hybrid offering for the more reserved. It is powered by a 1.3-liter i-VTEC with IMA mated to a Continuously Variable Trasmission (CVT), to further maximize fuel efficiency. The technologies of the Insight are encased in a futuristic and aerodynamic body styling, which not only give it a sleek look, but also improves efficiency.
Honda is looking at the possibility of introducing its hybrid models to the market as it waits for government incentive regulations like the House Bill 5460 that was passed to the Senate in March of this year.
