The Kia Sorento has gone a long way in terms of evolving its exterior styling. When it first appeared, the midsize crossover vehicle featured a traditional truck-based design. Through the years, the Kia Sorento had significant development with its extrior and interior styling.

With this, the third generation Euro-spec Kia Sorento is set to make its European debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show on Thursday. The Korean automaker says the 2015 Sorento is packed with a unique blend of style, practicality and technology.

The front of the 2015 Sorento has sharp-looking wrap-around headlights and larger 'tiger-nose' grille with diamond pattern. The bumper of the vehicle houses bigger fog lamps as compared to the outgoing model.

In profile, the 2015 Sorento retains its long bonnet design and wide D-pillar. However, it has a lower roofline, higher beltline and “swept-back” shape that gives the 2015 Sorento a muscular and composed stance.

The design changes continues at the rear as the 2015 Sorento features a more prominent shoulders and highly sculpted registration plate surround. Moreover, the 2015 Sorento sports new tailights, a redesigned bumper and a restyled liftgate.

Inside, Kia designed the cabin following a “modern and wide” theme, providing the interior with a stable and horizontal layout. Soft-touch materials and leather enables the vehicle to have a modern luxury feel. The 2015 Sorento is equipped with wider instrument cluster and a wrap-around dashboard.

Placed at the center is the “Swiss watch” inspired user interface that features Kia's latest human-machine interface (HMI), surrounded by a silver border. It also has a three-spoke steering wheel that comes along with various contorls.

The 2015 Kia Sorento is available in 5 or 7 seat versions with a 40/20/40 second row split folding. Kia says the second row seats of the 7-seat version are equipped with ‘remote folding’ controlled by two levers in the side of the cargo bay. It can also slide to allow easier entry and exit towards the third row seats.

Under the hood, three engines are available offering power outputs ranging from 185 to 200 PS. These includes a 2.4-liter gasoline direct injection (GDI) unit and two turbo-diesel engines, in 2.0-liter and 2.2-liter capacities.
