Ford has revealed the 2015 Shelby GT350R Mustang at this year's North American International Show (NAIAS) in Detroit.

Dubbed as the “most track-ready road-going production Mustang ever built,” the vehicle is packed with “innovations in aerodynamics, chassis engineering and light-weighting.” Simply put, Ford says the 2015 Shelby GT350R, a limited-production performance Mustang, has been developed to deliver “aerodynamic exellence.”

It is fitted with an aerodynamic kit including a new hood vent, an aggressive diffuser, vented wheel wells, turbulence-reducing fender vents, wheel air curtains and side skirts. The front splitter of the 2015 Shelby GT350R has been redesigned to maximize downforce. It also has an carbon fiber rear wing to further improve the vehicle's downforce and lift balance.

Aside from the aerodynamic body, the exterior of the vehicle has red painted brake calipers, red pin striping and Shelby GT350R badging. Moreover, 19-inch lightweight carbon fiber wheels are standard on the 2015 Shelby GT350R.

The vehicle is powered by a 5.2-liter dual-overhead-cam V8 engine which features a flat-plane crankshaft. The said engine delivers 507 PS and more than 542 Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
