MMDA reroutes NAIA traffic for Undas 2014
Zipper lanes and new routes opened up to ease traffic flow
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) yesterday started a new traffic scheme to hasten the flow of vehicular traffic going to and coming from the all Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) terminals.
A ‘zipper lane’ has been created along the southbound lane of Tramo Road starting at the foot of the Tramo flyover and can be used by motorists going to NAIA 3 and the ones turning into Andrews Avenue.
Motorists headed for EDSA are now allowed to turn left from Andrews Avenue into Tramo Road.
A service road has been opened up from Don Galo along Coastel Road to MIA Road while motorists from the Skyway can use Dona Soledad Avenue to get to NAIA 1 and 2.
The rotunda in front of Villamor Airbase Hospital will be altered to create an additional lane for motorists headed to NAIA Terminal 3.
Motorists are being advised to take the Airport Road instead of NAIA/MIA Road if they are going to NAIA 3 and/or the Domestic Airport Terminal.
