Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) introduced the all-new Mirage last weekend coupled with a musical festival and vehicle expo. The grand launch was attended by no less than Mitsubishi Motors Corporation President Osamu Masuko. Produced in Mitsubishi Motors' Thailand facility, the global car developed on the concepts of high fuel efficiency, affordability, and compactness; the Mirage is expected to have a positive appeal among Filipino carbuyers.
The new Mirage has had such an appeal that at least 2,500 reservations have already been made from its preview at the 2012 Philippine International Motor Show until the official launch.

To prove that economical can also be fun, MMPC exhibited a few personalization options for the new Mirage like this 'WRC-inspired' version done by Atoy Customs which was based off a rendering by Deviantart user idhuy.
At the launch, MMPC boasted some of the Mirage's notable features we got to experience in Thailand a few months back. Under the hood is an efficient 1.2-liter MIVEC engine capable of achieving a fuel mileage of up to 21km/l, standard dual-SRS airbags, Electronic Time and Alarm Control System and Multi-Information display are standard for all variants. Lastly, its compactness doesn't equate to cramped up space as it can seat five average sized adults comfortably.
MMPC made some improvements for the GLS variants upsizing the wheels to 15-inch, and added climate control to the GLS M/T variant. The GLX variants however lose ABS with EBD in leiu of an extra airbag for the front passenger.

The new Mirage is available in GLX and GLS variants with both 5-speed manual transmission and Continuously Variable transmissions to choose from.
Eight cool body colors are available for the GLS variants: Lemonade Yellow Metallic, Pop Green Mica, Medium Blue Mica, Majestic Red, Savanna White, Cool Silver Metallic, Gemstone Grey and Pyrenese Black for the GLX variants: Majestic Red, Savanna White, Cool Silver Metallic, Gemstone Grey and Pyrenese Black are available.
Suggested introductory retail price of the all-new Mirage starts at P498,000 for the GLX MT, P548,000 for the GLX CVT, while the GLS MT and CVT are available for P588,000 and P638,000 respectively.
