Mercedes-Benz AMG GT launched in the Philippines

Mercedes-Benz AMG GT launched in the Philippines
AMG CLA Orange Art, GLA and GLE also bared
Auto Nation Group, Inc. presented its new AMG model line-up last Sunday morning, October 4, at the Mercedes-Benz Greenhills showroom.
Leading the string of unveilings was the much awaited Mercedes-AMG GT S, launched gloabally last year and now officially available in the country.
The AMG GT S is propelled by a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine that produces 510 hp. It is paired to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission and can accelerate from 0 – 100km/h in just 3.8 seconds. Though the GT S may not have gullwing doors, it features another innovation to boast of: internally mounted turbochargers ('hot inside V').

Inside, the GT features Alcantara and leather seats with red stitching, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, a large, retractable center LCD screen and a steeply raked center console, much like the SLS, with the COMMAND knob and flush gear selector positioned in the center of a glossy piano black console. The AMG crest is lovingly embossed onto the center divider. It also boasts of a fastback tailgate to grant easy access to the large luggage compartment.
The GT is only the second sports car developed by Mercedes-AMG, entirely in-house, following the SLS. The GT S is priced at a little over PHP14M.

Also showcased in the event was the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 Orange Art Edition. Similar to the current AMG CLA 45, this limited version however features orange accents, as opposed to the typical red, both inside and out. Receiving the accents are the topstitching on the performance leather seats, the AMG radiator grille, side mirrors and in the rear apron trim as well as on the rim flanges and hub caps.

Also presented were the Mercedes-AMG GLA 45, the A-class platform-based crossover, as well as the Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 AMG 4Matic Coupé, which had its on-screen debut in the recent Hollywood film, “Jurassic World.”
With a large number of current AMG owners present in the event, ANG also invited them to register in the AMG Private Lounge global online community. Accessible through Mercedes-Benz Philippines' website, registering into the community is simple, with the owner's contact and vehicle details kept private. Registered users will be alerted to special AMG events, such as driving activities, special events and offers.
