2011 Tokyo Motor Show Preview: Mazda Takeri Concept
Mazda6 prelude?
The Tokyo Motor Show is coming up, and once again the Japanese auto brands are lining up their latest cars and concepts for the public. Mazda Motor Corporation is ready to get going with their home motor show as the company will be showcasing the Mazda Takeri concept car.
The Takeri takes Mazda's design language, Kodo, to the sedan segment. The stylish concept car preludes the upcoming Mazda6, bringing a new level of style to the family car market.
Not just all style, the Takeri concept gets the full array of SkyActiv technology (i.e. i-Stop) for improved efficiency, including a SkyActiv-D clean diesel engine. The Takeri also has Mazda's first regenerative braking system (like KERS) for even better fuel economy.
The Mazda Takeri will be joined at the Mazda booth by production cars that also get SkyActiv technology: the CX-5 crossover, the Demio (Mazda2) and a facelifted Axela (Mazda3).
