Volkswagen to extend SUV lineup with new concept
The 2016 Geneva Motor Show will bear witness to a new SUV concept after Volkswagen released several teaser images of the upcoming vehicle.
Based on the pictures, the concept’s front fascia bears Volkswagen’s current design philosophy. It gets sleek headlights, a distinct hood design and what appear to be square daytime running lights (DRLs). Moreover, the brightly-colored concept also sports a black honeycomb-like grill and LED foglights.

Interior images were not provided but the automaker did say its cabin will be similar to that of the Budd-E concept that debuted at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show. With that in mind, it will likely feature an array of touchscreen and digital displays.
The concept’s name is yet to be revealed though Volkswagen confirmed it will become a future production model that will slot below the Tiguan. It will be marketed as a ‘trendy and affordable’ SUV’.

Volkswagen is set to debut the SUV concept on March 3, 2016.
