Chevrolet PH officially launches the 2016 Trax
Chevrolet PH enters the compact crossover segment with the 2016 Trax
A new compact crossover has entered the local market after The Covenant Car Company Inc. (TCCI), the official retailer of Chevy vehicles in the country, launched the all-new 2016 Trax last October 14 in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
Combining both agility and all-around capability, Chevrolet described the Trax as a city-smart urban crossover that differentiates itself from the rest.

Up front is Chevy's signature dual-port grill that is paired with dual headlights, low-slung bumper and shapely hood. Flared wheel arches and the large 18-inch alloy wheels dominate the side profile of the Trax. The rear on the other hand features wrap-around taillights, a distinct tailgate design and a roof-mounted spoiler.
Size-wise, the 2016 Trax measures 4,245mm long, 1,775mm wide, 1,670mm tall and has a 2,555mm wheelbase.
Inside, Chevrolet opted to give the crossover a sporty layout with the bonus of added versatility and functionality. It has a full touchscreen infotainment system, centrally-mounted climate controls, a motorbike-inspired instrument cluster and an array of strategically-placed storage bins.

In terms of amenities and creature comforts, the Trax has a reverse camera, automatic headlights, electronically-adjustable driver's seat, Bluetooth hands-free calling and the top-spec LT Trax features Chevrolet's MyLink infotainment system.
Under the hood it is powered by a 1.4-liter EcoTec turbocharged inline-four. Displacing 1364cc, it pushes out 140 PS at 4900 - 6000 rpm along with 200 Nm of torque available between 1850 – 4900 rpm. It is then mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox that drives the front wheels and features a manual shift mode.

Safety features that come as standard on the 2016 Trax include: anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic stability control, cornering brake control, hill descent control, park assist sensors, tire pressure monitoring system, panic brake assist and 6 airbags as such.
The 2016 Chevrolet Trax can be specified in 9 different colors; Summit White Solid, Snowflake White Pearl, Switchblade Silver, Carbon Flash Metallic, Boracay Blue Metallic, Orange Rock, Blaze Red Solid, Velvet Red and Liquor Brown.

Sales and deliveries of the all-new Trax will commence by November.
